Eye candy

Just a few screenshots to show what I 've been up to these last few weeks.


A friend of mine from the airforce academy has been working on 3d modelling as part of his thesis. He showed me some of his work, which included the stunning fighter aircraft you see here. This inspired me to make a game around it, which only recently started taking form.





The project is in a very early stage and will require a lot of work to evolve into the full-scale game we are aspiring to make. Many of the graphics you see are placeholders and should get better as the game progresses. While this is not a high-priority project in our list and might never be finished, I believe there is great potential in it.


The project, as it is now, features a 1-minute mission where you shoot down UAVs with air-to-air guided missiles. Customized weaponry and various enemies can be easily added later on. I am using previous experience from my other in-progress aircraft project to make development easier.

Digital Forensics: Imaging

Hello! Sorry for being inactive so much time but summer lasted a little bit longer than usual..!

Regarding my digging in digital forensics, i decided to create a series of posts beginning with imaging. So today i will show you the three most prevalent formats of "post-mortem" imaging and how to obtain them (on a *nix system) from a test disk.

The discussed formats are the following:
(1) Raw Format
(2) Expert Witness Compression Format (or ewf)
(3) Advanced Forensic Format (or aff)
